OPENING: Director of Skill Center Programs

The following is an overview of the new position being posted at OSPI for a Director of Skill Center Programs and the link to follow to obtain information regarding this new position.

The OSPI Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director of Skill Center Programs will work as a member of the Career and Technical Education Team and within the Curriculum and Instruction Division to support Skill Center programs. The primary responsibility of this position will be to further develop the Skill Center system through established CTE program standards, skill center guidelines and rules and to support the skill center directors and staff in aligning their instruction and assessment practices to business and industry standards and the Washington state academic learning standards. The Director will communicate and coordinate efforts related to skill center matters within OSPI, CTE Educators and Administrators (including Skill Center Directors), school districts, higher education, and other CTE professional and government education-related organizations.
