The Sisters in the Building Trades, in collaboration with the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau, Seattle NOW, NAWIC, and Sisters in the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, will have as a guest, the founder of the Negucci Women in Construction and Technology from Abuja, Nigeria. We have the opportunity to help the first Construction Apprenticeship Program for women and youth in Nigeria. We need Videos, Curriculum, Construction Training Materials, as well as tools, funds and volunteer time donated. We will supply a suitcase, fill it with up to 50 pounds, and pay to fly it back to Nigeria with Ambassador Sheryl Brown.
After the meeting we will continue to collect tools, and raise funds and work on getting 40X48X70 inch shipping crates built, filled and shipped to Abuja, Nigeria and Manila Philippines. We will also prep, paint, build the interior wall and work area in an 8X24 ft Conex, and set aside tools and gear to fill it to ship to Costa Rica.
Please dig in your garages and old tool boxes, please feel welcome to put in an ask to our contractors and vendors to fill the crates.
Donated tools will land in a pile to go to one of the 3 projects or to our local apprentice donations.
Local Apprentice Donations. Totes of clothing and gear, will be at the meeting for apprentices and tradeswomen to add to or take from.

As per Sisters Rules, this is a potluck. There shall be no meeting of the Sisters without food and fun. If you can, bring something to share, if you don’t have resources or time, no worries, no one has Ever left a Sisters meeting hungry.
